We hope that you will stop by some time and worship with us. We just want to give you a little idea of what you can expect.
When you pull onto the campus you will see two parking lots. Either one is fine to park in, but if you have kids you might want to park in the front gravel lot. The main entrance in front of that gravel lot is our Children's area. Immediately after you enter that area you will see our check-in station. The safety of your children is very important to us. Take just a second and enter your information so that we can adequately care for your kids. If it seems confusing...don't worry. We have staff there to help you through the whole process. Be sure not to lose the receipt tag they give you. You will need that so we can make sure nobody picks up your kids but you!
When you are finished at the children's area make your way back outside, turn right, and head around the building. About halfway to the end of the building you will pass our student entrance. Our student ministry is for 6th graders through 12th graders. They also have a check in system right under the flat screens. Our student ministry runs concurrently with our adult services.
Back outside you will continue around the building taking just a moment to bask in the glory of another smelly day at Southwinds. We are the only church in town convieniently located so close to a dairy farm.
As you walk around the edge of the building you might find yourself wondering...am I at church or the circus? This building is what we effectionately refer to as the sprung. Walk inside and we think you will be plesently surprised what we have done with the place. The bathrooms are in the lobby and you can be sure to pick up some coffee on the way at Cafe' Southwinds if that's your thing.
Our services usually last about 75 minutes and include music and teaching. If you are a guest, when the offering bags pass you need not feel guilty about passing them on. The offering time in our service is a time for our members to give back to God and we do not expect guests to participate.
Hopefully this give you an idea of what to expect and now you know you do not have to be nervous.
