Southwinds uses a three tiered approach to leadership. The top Tier is our Elder Team. This is a team of people (staffed and non-staff) that the church has affirmed to serve as spiritual protectors. They prayerfully consider church direction and try their best to help lead, encourage, support, and provide guidance in all areas of the church. At Southwinds all of our full time pastors also serve on this team.
The Second leadership tier is our ministry staff. The office at Southwinds could not run without these people. They help with the day to day operations and also try to keep our pastors in line. They each work in a specific ministry area and often times are the primary contact people for certain ministries.
The Third tier of leadership at Southwinds is what we call our "lay leaders". These are people just like you who work a "normal" job and have families but they have decided to spend time as a volunteer leader in one of our various ministries. These are perhaps the most important leaders. With five pastors and a limited number of ministry assistants, we just could not reach Tracy effectively without these leaders.
