The Southern Baptist Convention: Since its organization in 1845 in Augusta, Georgia, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has grown to over 16 million members who worship in more than 42,000 churches in the United States. The California Southern Baptist Convention:  California Southern Baptist Convention is a fellowship of about 450,000 members in approximately 1,800 language and multi-ethnic congregations.  Each week throughout California 60 language groups and almost 100 ethnic groups are represented in the 2,100 congregations throughout the convention.  For more information you can visit the CSBC website at. www.csbc.com
